NCAA Says Pac 12 Was Wrong on Targeting and Issues Specific Directives - AncientCityIndian - 09-30-2016

Pac 12 officiating once again proves embarrassing in its interpretation of the crown of the helmet, as though a hit an inch away from the top of the helmet will cause a lesser injury.  Who is running the clown show in the Pac 12 office?

It would have been nice for the NCAA statement to call out the Pac-12 for it's complete bungling of the Owusu hit, but that probably isn't very constructive.  Anyway, we can probably safely assume the Pac-12 officials were flogged by the NCAA this week behind closed doors.  That makes me feel better.  Now we know if UW tries any of the same b.s. as UCLA, they will be rightly punished for it, as will everyone else moving forward.

You have a lot more faith in the Pac-12 officials than I do.  I can easily see them going out and making the same mistake again, NCAA be damned.

Let's just hope that Shaw can give Mora a "what's your deal" moment after the Pac-12 Championship.  I'm sure that many of our players would love to get a chance to show Goodman what a legal hard hit feels like.
