Last time? - stanfan - 09-30-2016

We have obviously been beaten before, but I'm trying to remember the last time our guys were physically dominated like this.  Huskies are very impressive.

Probably a Walt Harris team.

The score is worse but this feels pretty much the same as 2014 Oregon.

Re: Last time? - 81alum - 09-30-2016

As I said in the other thread, it brings back memories for me of the 1977 U SC game, when we went to LA and lost 49-0 in Walsh's first year.  There probably are worse losses, but that was a bad loss for a good team.

I was thinking the same thing.  0-49.  I also remember being shocked by the area around USC.  I'd never seen anything like it.

Re: Last time? - Phogge - 10-01-2016

The Arizona game when Wopamo had a Pick 6. Totally inept offense generated about 60 yards. I remember listening to Don Klein broadcast the 1954 national champ UCLA 72-0 game and crying my eyes out. I didn't get over that until 1970.

2011 Oregon was at least fairly close for a half or so.

Yeah, I could at least delude myself into thinking Stanford had a chance, somehow. Last night, I knew within one drive each that Stanford was going to lose.
