Not sure what the narrative is - washingtonismoney - 10-09-2016

Re: what the problems are in the team, but I found this striking:

Opponents' YPA through the first 2.5 games of the year: 6.39
Through the next 2.5: 9.41

Looks like Meeks' and Holder's absence is perhaps *the* story of the season to me.

I think the story is our lack of offensive scoring.  If we controlled the ball in those last two games, we could have been competitive.

I mean, I guess, but if you're losing forty-something to teen-something it's simplistic to focus on offense; you really just suck.

Maybe rest for a defense is super critical...because if they're not rested, they just get hammered.  And the lack of 2 starting CBs just keeps the opponent's offense on the field.

Rest has to be a factor.  We're used to long drives, even if they don't produce in the red zone.  There were a few last night that barely managed a minute.

Well, possible, but at least for the UW game, the defense stunk right off the bus.

If the offense is more successful, the defense spends less time on the field.  By the end of the third quarter last night, our defense was gassed.

With a very special player named McCaffrey on the team, the critic's eye is going to be on the lack of points, big plays or any semblance of consistency over the last two (arguably three) games.
