This game is shaping up to be a real cripplefight. Goddamn...

Re: INJURY CRISIS: N.D. WEEK - BostonCard - 10-11-2016

So my speculation ... Wasn't.  I hate it when I'm right.

BC

McCaffrey Questionable for ND - DC 86 - 10-11-2016

According to David Shaw. Decision on whether he plays to be made on Friday or Saturday.

Re: INJURY CRISIS: N.D. WEEK - fullmetal - 10-11-2016

Maybe Shaw thinks Stanford can beat USB without CMac...?  I mean...

Re: INJURY CRISIS: N.D. WEEK - yvonne - 10-11-2016

Well, for all intents and purposes, we're now a .500 team.

No, but rather that aggravate an injury in a non-conference game (i.e., quasi-meaningless at this point, since we are out of the "final four" picture), he might want to "save" CMac for Colorado.

Re: INJURY CRISIS: N.D. WEEK - martyup - 10-11-2016

Does anyone have any idea what is wrong with CMAC?  He certainly didn't look hurt when he was staying loose on the sideline.  Hopefully it's coaching gamesmanship.  :(

I can practically guarantee that Shaw isn't doing this. You play to win the game.

Re: INJURY CRISIS: N.D. WEEK - dabigv13 - 10-11-2016

He didn't look like he was ambulating fully comfortably. The way he was jogging looked a bit off to me. My guess is a mild muscle pull/tear, or hip pointer. Didn't seem like a knee or ankle.

Maybe.  Shaw's time management strategies sometimes make me wonder.

Re: INJURY CRISIS: N.D. WEEK - JJJ - 10-11-2016

His famous adductor?  ???

Re: INJURY CRISIS: N.D. WEEK... McCaffrey - FrankO - 10-12-2016

went to the locker room during the game, came back to the sidelines had ice on his hip and later and was doing high leg kicks...

my guess is a (painful) hip pointer, or perhaps a hip flexor?

read somewhere initial injury occurred at SoCal game... and had played through it since...

that three man tackle on the runback vs Wazzu might have been what finally took him out

Re: INJURY CRISIS: N.D. WEEK - ChicagoCard - 10-12-2016

Oh yeah, when he tried to do a fair catch on a punt over toward the S,C, sideline and got run into by one of their players. There was some question of whether that player was blocked into McCaffrey.

Re: INJURY CRISIS: N.D. WEEK - Phogge - 10-12-2016

I think Stanford has always been overly cautious with injuries. Some stuff you have to play through. This goes back to Jamplis and Behling.

They're college students, not gladiators dude...

Re: INJURY CRISIS: N.D. WEEK - zedcom - 10-12-2016

Pretty sure ChicagoVisitor is right....SC game fair catch.

Well DUDE (whatever a dude is outside of THE Dude),

That is quaintly funny. They are tough college students. Just sayin...

Re: INJURY CRISIS: N.D. WEEK - fullmetal - 10-12-2016

No one can dispute that CMac has taken a lot of abuse thus far into the season, between that SC punt reception, the WSU kick return, and countless runs into the teeth of a loaded defensive front.
