Roster Notes - CTcard - 10-16-2016

My apologies if many of these are in the "Stanford-UDFG game thread", I haven't read through all of that.

- It appears that Treyjohn Butler made the first appearance of his career. He was credited with one assisted tackle. Not redshirting this year after all. I hope that isn't bad news with respect to Holder.

I didn't notice how many plays he had, but Pro Football Focus gives him one of the top grades of the defensive players.

- Not commented upon here as far as I know, Donald Stewart made his first appearance vs. UW. Made his first (and only so far) career catch vs WSU.

So, by my count true frosh who have played so far include: Stewart, Butler, Robinson, Herbig, McNitzky.
Any others?

- Taijuan Thomas, who has nominally been listed as a starter on the depth chart with Owusu injured, made his first career reception vs und.

- When Bright was injured, Tucker came in to replace him. I don't know whether this means that Tucker was only available in emergency and this was an emergency, or if this means that Tucker is no longer a starter if everyone healthy. It's probably more ambiguous than that.

Re: Roster Notes - donkey687 - 10-16-2016

My guess is that the Treyjohn Butler tackle is a recording mistake. Butler was listed earlier this year as number 4 which is Buncom. He is now listed as 6 which is Owusu. Perhaps Owusu had a tackle on a Int return or special teams or something that was misattributed to Butler?

I wouldn't assume that Tucker was bypassed as a starter. I think Tucker was less than 100% so a 85% Tucker may be bypassed by Bright/Fanaika but not necessarily a 100% Tucker.
