Stanford @ Arizona predictions - BostonCard - 10-25-2016

I have to say, this game was so much more fun when we were winning.  Nonetheless, here is the link to the prediction form.

Good luck, and may those of us who predict Stanford to win be rewarded.

Talk about making BC's job a little tougher.  Unless he is pretty up-to-speed on child molesters and literary genii.

I hope to be proven right on the winner and wrong on the low scoring output.

As long as it is entered to the form, the labels here can be as esoteric as the author would like.
If it is not entered via the form and I don't get the reference, I assume Stanford for the win.

Adam Johnson is a creative writing professor at Stanford who recently won a Pulitzer Prize for his novel, the Orphan Master's Son.  David Foster Wallace got his MFA at UoA as well as his trademark bandana look.

Not feeling punchy this season so didn't have it in me to figure out something to make fun of Arizona for.

Gotcha.  I just saw the first listing in the Google search results and couldn't find the Stanford connection.  Some of these snippets are challenging, I must say.  But I enjoy them quite a bit.

School that previously banned alcohol on campus.                              24
School that locals didnt want because academics didnt drink enough    14

From Wikipedia....
During the Apache Wars, the primary source of cash for many Arizona towns was a nearby military post. By the mid-1880s, subjugation of the Apache was largely completed and the settlements saw territorial institutions as an economic replacement for the forts. The territorial capital and an anticipated insane asylum were considered the best source of revenues. A potential university and normal school were considered of lesser importance with a common line of the day being, "Who ever heard of a professor buying a drink?"[2]

They clearly don't know the professors I know.
