I recently learned that a lot of frosh didn't know they had to get separate tix for Big Game, and their class facebook page went nuts a couple of days ago with people scrambling for (sold out) tickets. I'm blaming inadequate Frosh Orientation and RA oversight for this situation. No band, no (ok, not many) frosh, ... travesty.  :o

Oh, and see--you'd learn that really quickly in a four-class dorm.  Isolating the freshmen in all-frosh dorms means that traditions, bureaucratic quirks, etc. are not passed down very consistently.

Agreed that four-class dorms rule (having lived in one 3 years), and by all indications, the game won't sell out but the heavily subsidized student tickets are all gone.

There are a ton of tickets selling for below face value.

With the last minute announcement of the kickoff time, a lot of folks are unloading tickets, including my season ticket partner, who can't find any takers.

Good to know the freshman are looking. He'd happily give his ticket to an eager freshman!

Go find a way to advertise to the class facebook page, I suppose.  There's never been a strong "intergenerational" connection between alumni and students at Stanford that I feel might have been stronger at other universities.  There are good and bad aspects of that--right now, it would be a good thing to connect students to alumni with extra tickets...!

The "official" page is a closed group; you need to be permitted to join.

There's an "unofficial" page that doesn't look very active and is mostly from earlier this calendar year when folks were pro-fros. I applied to join anyways... (there's one post from Jan asking to change the mascot... seriously?!?!?!)

I posted on my feed, along w/ the class of '86 feed.

If someone as access to the class of 2020 feed, please mention that I have a ticket burning a hole in my email inbox and connect me. Maybe PM me and I can share my facebook name?
