A solution long in the making.

I used to love parking in Lot 2.  Easy access to the stadium and the fastest way to get out of the area after the game.  And yet, with alarming regularity I would cruise into the lot and discover that the few remaining spots were "saved" for others.  One time I actually came to the road side gate and was told that unless someone was saving a spot, the lot was full.  Huh?

This is hardly a way to make newbies feel welcome.  So this pricing solution will help make everything easier to understand.  If you want one person to "save" spots for four or five others then pay for it.

Fine with me!  I had moved on to other lots last year and discovered their dust free value.  Still this should help the AD extract value out of a parking lot which seems to be more important to many than watching the game in the stadium.

Most sporting venues charge big time for parking, so this seems fine.  And Palo Alto can\'t possibly complain since Pali has charged to park in the Pali lots for years to raise funds.

For general (i.e., non-season ticket holder) parking, it appears that there will be no change from 2010.  $15/car in designated lots and free if you are willing to walk a distance.

I usually park by Tressider and walk to the stadium. Thankfully, it\'s not a big deal to me right now, but it could be in a few years.  :)

I usually park at home and walk the 1.5 miles to the stadium.  :D

Me too, but it\'s Husky Stadium and I only get to see Stanford every other year.

I like to get in the Stanford spirit, so I park at Promontory Point and walk in to the opening day game. I start in July.
