Blake Barnett announced that he is transferring to Arizona State.
Barnett was a 5-star recruit coming out of high school in southern California. He started Alabama's opener against SC this year (and was 5-6 for 45 yards, 1 TD, 0 interceptions) but was replaced by Jalen Hurts and decided to look elsewhere when it became apparent that Hurts had the starting job locked down. He finished his brief Alabama career 11-19, 219, 2/0.
