the new library in Old Chem is open and it appears to be a substantial improvement over the old one (which I used back in the day)

Building hours

The building is unlocked on Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:59pm.  Beginning at 5pm on weekdays and on the weekend, the doors to the building are locked and a Stanford ID is required to enter the building.

While you're in the building, also take a look at the first floor foyer on the north side of the building - it abuts the auditorium (room 111) and lecture hall (114). They did a great job adding onto/incorporating the original exterior wall to create a really neat space.
