They've been in the NCAA tournament a dozen times, but sadly, they haven't won their conference or been in the NCAA tournament since 1997. John Oldham was their coach from 1985 to 1997, he did a great job. Since then, nothing.
They do have some interesting history. They were an independent until 1960 until Stanford, USC, C.al, Santa Clara and St. Mary's formed the California Intercollegiate Baseball Association which operated until 1966, basically a division of the Pacific Coast Conference. At one time or another, UCLA, LMU, UCSB, Pepperdine, Occidental, USF and Whittier were in that conference. Dodger Pee Wee Reese coached them for a year during WWII.
That 1962 team was ranked #1 for most of the year. They had five future major leaguers, losing to Michigan on a passed ball in the 15th inning.
SCU had the first Hispanic player in MLB in Frank Arellanes (Bosox, 1908), the inventor of the spitball (Elmer Stricklett), Charlie Graham who caught Cy Young and returned to CA (when he heard the news of the 1906 SF Earthquake) to ultimately own the San Francisco Seals, and one of the truly notorious dishonest players "Prince" Hal Chase, who flunked out of SCU after a year.

When I played Sal Taormina was the coach although we got recruited by his predecessor Paddy Cottrell. He was pretty distracted throughout the process, didn't want any of us. Sal had been a longtime Seal and was the "kid" in '46 when the Seals won the PCL. They didn't win another until 1957 in the last PCL season for San Francisco.
In the Michigan game Bob Garabaldi pitched most of the innings, wouldn't come out and lost zip which never came back. Signed for a big bonus with the Giants (pre draft) and was kept on the roster in '62 by rule. Appeared in '69 I believe but he was never the same after the CWS.
