Welcome to the club.

Funny that they don't learn.  I gave up my subscription the last time they tried to change board formats.

Interestingly, Yvonne and her dedicated volunteer staff of 0 (or maybe 1 person helping) were able to change the version of the board software that runs this site overnight with minimal disruption.  Other than a couple of minor annoyances, everything went swimmingly.

could not get it to accept posting using Chrome on MacOS (but it did work with Firefox)

making you open each thread to get to what you want to read is brain dead, but I guess it gives them more page views to serve ads to......and that's what they really care about......we'll see if it works in the long run......

Does this explain why http://gostanford.com's Football roster lacks a grid view? Or do I just chalk this up to terrible UX design and whoever did it having no concept of how fans want to view rosters?

...technical and, ummm, customer relations??  I can't get to TOS, per se.  Just to the main Scout self-promotion extravaganza page.  Oh well.  I only re-upped for six months about 2-3 mos. ago.  Maybe, if they're so determined to screw it up,  it is time to let it go.

OF the lack of a grid view often has to do with accessibility for visually impaired visitors. Many screen readers have trouble with traditional grid views.

not so sure I'll be there much longer, the user interface really sucks.  There are plenty of places that have similar formats to what they are trying to do that have vastly superior functionality, many of them like the cardboard are free.

if you have an old URL it won't find the new site (but should redirect), if you have a really old URL it just fails

Yes, my messages are gone too.  That may have been the last little thing keeping me there even before they nuked the format again.  I should have known to back up the PMs I value or would want to reference.
