Holy crap is Oklahoma State unstoppable.
Michigan is anything but.
Neither UCLA or Texas A&M is that good.

OKSt looked a lot more human in the second half (10 pts va 49 in the first half). But also, Pitt isn't very good. They beat Youngstown state by a single touchdown and lost to Penn state 33-14.
But to give you an idea of how bad things got, evidently Pitt was giving out free drinks in an effort to get people to stay for the second half

You frequently hear "well, such-and-such team isn't very good so the win over them doesn't mean much." But that's not the case. That OK State blew out Pitt to a greater degree than Penn State is notable.

Josh Rosen is the modern day Jeff George. Makes some great throws, but his decision-making is really suspect. Don't think that is going to change much once he makes it it the NFL. He really lost the game for UCLA today, IMO.

Oregon win over Nebraska maybe looks a little less impressive as Northern Illinois does the same thing, in Lincoln.

He does make lost of bad decisions. I don't think it can be said he lost the game for them though. They can't run, and they can't defend. That can make a QB do some crazy things, once he knows he has no shot otherwise. It takes great discipline to not throw across you body into the middle of the field when your defense is stopping nobody. It has been said by many that Rosen has great talent. However, I haven't heard anyone praise his discipline.

Yeah, it's a bit much to say he lost the game. Yes, he had a costly interception in the red zone where a field goal would have tied it... but come on, with that defense, UCLA loses by several touchdowns but for Rosen's play.

ND is scuffling with Boston College: up 14-13 early in the 3rd quarter.
Re: Around college football 9/16 -

FWIW, it looks like ND can barely pass but they are putting up numbers on the ground. (289 yards running on 30 carries)

Damn N.D. can run. They are just ripping off big gains on the ground.

Well, maybe so, but it is Boston College, who is ranked about 75th in the nation (as I understand it anyway). Not so sure today's game is a good metric.

Michigan is anything but.
I was in the Big House today. 111,378 in attendance, 109,000 of which were Michigan fans, who are unfailingly polite, btw. They're like the flip side, the bizarro C.al. Great football (3-0 now), very polite and passionate and KNOWLEDGEABLE fans who can be a bit over the top. I was next to a guy who was apoplectic about every 15th play for some reason or another.
Speights is a very poor quarterback, IMHO. Sprays the ball. Bad decisions. Can't run. Michigan won 29-13, but it wasn't remotely that close, 6-6 at half IIRC. Air Force went 10-3 last year, crunched Southern Alabama in a minor bowl, but still...most of their WAC wins were by a TD or so. Michigan showed a pretty good defense, and at times, a borderline desperate offense.
One of the fans opined that Michigan always does this with their third non-conference game. Supposedly they looked past Air Force to their Big 10 opener against Purdue. Maybe. But they sure made a lot of stupid decisions, lots of mental mistakes that stopped offensive drives in their tracks.

SC is tied 0-0 with Texas and they look...much less precise than they did against Stanford. Weird missed tackle costs them a few yards here ... oddly dropped pass there ...
Darnold is still freaking amazing. Best since Luck.
EDIT: still, they don't look quite as imprecise as they did against Western Michigan (so far at least). Maybe this is post-hoc rationalization, but I think Stanford may have taken SC's best shot or close to it.

Your description of the game doesn't seem to match the usual meaning of "wasn't that close".
Did you mean wasn't that close = was really closer; or were the critiques of Michigan merely asides in a game where they blew the doors off of Air Force but didn't quite score all that often?

SC just got stopped at the half-line line with a run. SC's gotten stopped twice on 4th down attempts so far this game.

Actually, every drive in that game so far has ended on a turnover on downs.
Suspect it won't continue. (and it doesn't with an INT)

super-sloppy game. SC loses about a billion yards on penalties, forced to punt. Then Texas gets stuffed for two plays and fumbles a snap. This is not exactly an advertisement for football, to borrow a Britishism.

0-0 at the end of the first quarter. For whatever reason, U$C's offense is not the juggernaut it was against us.

SC misses a field goal. If you -- like me -- rationalized last game's blowout because SC was likely a really good team... this effort is not reassuring.

I'm thinking they pointed for last week's game against us. After all it was their first conference game and we had beaten them three times in a row. I have a feeling they are suffering a bit of a letdown after that one. My guess is they will get it together and end up winning this game fairly handily.
