Lineup Shuffle ? - CTcard - 09-18-2017

Between being busy and depressed, haven't been on the board since the game.

At least on a quick search, I couldn't find comments about changes in the lineup and whether they were caused by injuries or not.

I have only seen highlights, but it looks like the OL got a shake up.
On Love's first TD run it looks like the OL (left to right) was Little, Bright, Burkett, Wilson, Hall.
On Love's second TD it looks like a heavy set with Wilson as a "receiver" and the OL as Little, Bright, Burkett, Herbig, Hall.
On our final (horrible) pass it looks like the OL was Little, Bright, Burkett, Herbig, Hall.
According to the participation report, this (with Herbig, not Wilson) was also the starting lineup.

So, was there any comment/annoucement that this is now our OL lineup?
Did Sarrell and/or Hamilton get much time?

EDIT - Okay, now I see some comments about the OL shuffle (and not sticking with a consistent OL) in the "Shaw's Mood" thread.
Any detailed comments about the OL performance, and the various individuals?

Sarrell and Hamilton both got in. Hamilton was beaten for a sack or a pressure, can't recall which.

CTCard, you are going to have to watch the game to understand what was happening in the 2nd half.  Stanford began to substitute linemen AND QBs on EVERY play.  Honestly, it began to look effective as Stanford scored a FG and a TD and was more successful on 3rd down.

But the offense stalled with a chance to run down the clock in the 4th quarter.

It won't take you that long to watch Stanford's offense in the 2nd half.  Stanford only had 4 total possessions and one of those was a one play drive that ended in an INT.  Including the INT, Stanford only ran 19 plays in the 2nd half.

Hey CT.

No injuries that we know of, but there might be undisclosed injuries.

The participation report is correct; Little became the first true freshman since Kirk Chambers to start at LT.  Bright was moved to LG, and Hebrig moved to RG.  As you noted, there was a lot of shuffling in and out.

Shaw in his press conference said that he is not planning to change the line any further... for whatever it is worth.

As I pointed out elsewhere, the line didn't look any more effective than the line was last week against USC.  Taking into account the strengths of the respective opponents, the line seemed less effective as a unit, but I'm not knowledgeable enough to figure out if that was relevant to particular positions or not.  I'm hoping there is a master plan behind all this and it is not a sign, as WIM posited, of desperation.  To be honest, I was very surprised.  I thought we might introduce Little as the RT, where had been playing before, in place of Hamilton/Hall, given that neither distinguished themselves.  Three line changes, including moving two starters around seems like a recipe for confusion.

Little already is our best pass blocker and a natural left tackle. 

Sarell is more a mauler but can seal the right edge nicely, too, once he gets more reps against young men his own size.  Hall should be ok there until we get to Washington State and have to face Mata'afa.
