What I expect UCLA to do offensively -

They will take some shots deep. But I expect them to attack in the intermediate area 10-15 yard passes - particularly in the middle. Attack the linebackers. I also think they will utilize the backs on the edge in the passing game. Again attacking the lb's.
Running: they have a 260 pound back that looked pretty damn good against Memphis. Jalen Starks. He may be a key. He's only carried the ball 10 times all year. This is a hunch - he will get at least 15 carries tonight. Gives them the ability to pound along with their passing game.

Pretty good analysis IMO. I think this will be a high-scoring shootout. I'm not too confident in our offense in such a scenario. But, we shall see. :)

I don't think Stanford has the O to score as many points as UCLA, but one can only hope...

Well I sure nailed it. Starks. Zero carries. Rosen did attack the middle of the field, and the sidelines and every other spot on the field. 60 passes.

Lots of bubble screens
To the outside. Some intermediate routes across the middle. A couple of deep shots, but mostly those were covered.

Yes, and those intermediate routes across the middle are still killing us, just like they did against U$C. We have a big, persistent problem in that area. I guess the defense we run is just weak in that area, but we really do need to figure something out there.

Lack of good coverage inside linebackers hurts us in the intermediate runs. Both SDSU and UCLA hurt us with their tight ends.
