Stanford in the NFL (early games) - DC 86 - 09-24-2017

McCaffrey targeted 11 times, finished with 9 catches for 101 yards. Only four carries (gained 16 yards).

With Kelvin Benjamin injured today it's probable that McCaffrey will see even more action in the passing game, especially if Carolina continues to fall behind early in their games.

Zach Ertz continues his prolific season with 8 catches (10 targets) for 55 yards including a TD.

Hooper had a catch for about 9 yards in an Atlanta win.

Montgomery is playing and has 4 caries for 10 yards, and 2 catches for -3 yards.  Green Bay is down 21-7.

Doug Baldwin has a catch for 13 yards.  Seattle is down 6-0,

Green Bay ultimately won in OT. I could only watch on NFL Red Zone, so missed a lot, but Montgomery made more contributions. Also Martinez had some nice and important tackles.

Circumstances matter. McCaffrey is with a team that can't fully utilize his skill set.  Newtons strength is downfield and running.  He is not a good short and intermediate pastor. Running game is a power based set and frankly hasn't been effective under either Stewart for McCaffrey. Hopefully it'll get better, but I'm not sure I see it this year. For one thing Newton is also a little banged up and he's been awful

Which is not good if you work on Sundays.
