Up against a full slate of games. At least we're on a major channel.

South Carolina @ #3 Georgia  CBS
#6 Ohio State @ Iowa  ESPN
#7 Clemson @ #14 NC State  ABC
Wake Forest @ #9 Votre Dame  NBC
#17 South Florida @ UConn  ESPU
#25 Iowa State @ #22 West Virginia  ESPN2
#10 Oklahoma @ #11 Oklahoma State  FS1

Rankings as of week 9

Some really great games.
With Wazzu's face plant, Game day headed to Stillwater.

Thank God for small favors! Now I'm praying for:
1. Love's ankle
2. Shawgren's wisdom to start Costello

Me too, along with a positive prognosis for Holder.

ESPN likely wanted USC/Arizona all along, but wanted to make sure both would win on Saturday since that was not a sure thing.

USC vs Arizona should get big ratings as many will want to see Tate against a brand name team.

Stanford at WSU will get lost in that slurry at 12:30, but any Bryce Love highlights should see wide distribution.

Not sure what a positive prognosis for Holder would be at this stage.  I doubt he will play in any game in November 2017.    Hope I am wrong, but it looked like the type of hit that creates injuries to a couple of ligaments.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I figured. One can at least hope that somehow he'll be in good shape around 9 months from now.

Very thankful for the early start time, especially if the weather is going to be as cold and snowy as currently forecasted, with a 70% chance of precipitation and a high of 41 degrees.

“Rain and snow in the morning, will become intermittent in the afternoon.”

The weather is definitely an advantage to the home team, because they regularly practice in the cold, slippery weather.  The best place to prepare for battle in the North Sea is the North Sea, to paraphrase Jim Harbaugh paraphrasing (Eisenhower? MacArthur? Churchill? I don’t have the time to look it up!)  I hope we’ll have the right equipment on hand (cleats, warmers, etc) to level the playing field.

I also think Pullman might be a bit less drunk and raucous at 12:30 vs. 7:30.  And our team will probably get home earlier than if they had played a home night game, in advance of the game that now that truly matters most on Friday, Nov. 10 vs. UW.Â
