As you'd expect, quarterback comes up a lot in this facebook live video with Bloomgren:

On one hand, Bloomgren extols Chryst's grit and ability to bounce back... on the other hand, demurs when given the opportunity to comment when asked "why did you stick with Chryst?" Not sure what to make of it. (Also, in terms of on one hand, on the other hand, he said "No one played the way they'd like on offense" but also later says that the pass blocking was mostly good. Which of course doesn't *totally* undercut his previous message but is at odds.)

He said that the decision to leave Chryst in "was above my pay grade" and that we would hear Shaw address it in his press conference on Tuesday. I presume this was an answer he discussed with Shaw in advance and it wasn't just Bloomgren passing the buck up the ladder to his boss.Â
But on the other hand he did not exactly defend Chryst nor did he enthusiastically endorse his boss's decision.Â

Wasn't run blocking also pretty good? It looked like we were opening holes all night, the backs just weren't hitting them.

Well, I'm just reporting what Bloomgren is saying. Though it's tough to extract much meaning from it -- he's constantly contradicting himself, even if implicitly.

Which takes us back to: never get too worked up about what a football coach says.
Though my reading of the coach speak here is: QBs and RBs let us down.

Yeah, he praised Scarlett's pass blocking and then later said that, without Love, it was hard to get explosive plays on perfect run blocking.

Didn't want to start a new thread, but what about Holder's absence going forward. Somebody posted on youtube the ending to the OreSt game, beginning with Peter K's forced fumble. I noticed #22 in on pass coverage (covering an OreSt WR I think) on the short OreSt possession at the end. The ball was thrown to that wideout and I'm assuming that #22 is Obi Eboh. Does anybody know if he was in for Holder or if it was more that he was in as one of six or so DBs in that particular situational defense.

Believe Murphy came in for Holder.

Good thing we have two very talented players waiting in the wings to rescue the offense.

I did see Eboh in the game. I assumed was #6 DB
