Andrew Luck Out for Rest of Season -
DC 86 - 11-02-2017
Not a surprise, but officially placed on IR today.
Definitely the best move for him instead of trying to come back and play this season.

And frankly, this puts the Colts in a better position for 2018 anyway, too. You lose most of the rest of your games, potentially get a Top 5 pick, the rebuild chugs along, and you get to start next season fresh with a fully healed Luck and a brand new coach.Â
As an Andrew Luck fan, this is probably the ideal outcome (at this point in the season, of course). If I were an actual Colts fan, I would be bummed that this year is now officially lost, but it was sure looking that way anyway.Â

Just awful for the guy. So much promise, so much screwed up by the incompetent management of the Dolts.

I would agree with this if we were talking about almost any other organization. Sadly, nothing the Colts have done since drafting Andrew indicates that they are remotely interested in building a team or protecting their franchise quarterback.

The 49ers have another 2nd round pick, don't they?

Bummer for Luck fans. Also Watson just hit the dust for a year with an ACL tear. Bummer for Houston. QB protection in NFL? Not!

They have the Saints' 2nd round pick. The Saints are tied for the sixth best record in the NFL, which would put their pick somewhere in the lower fourth of the second round.

We're not the only ones who think how Indy handled Andrew was pathetic...

Sports Illustrated's take on the Andrew situation, with timeline:

Seems like he played through the shoulder injury for months, while getting sacked 35 times in 10 games. I know he has an incredible work ethic, but where were the team's medical people on this?
