The Stanford Women\'s Tennis team blew past Baylor 4-1 and will meet Florida (4-0 winner over UCLA) in the NCAA finals tomorrow.

#4 Ahn retired very early. Â Injury???
The Stanford team is deep, but Florida is very good. Â I am thrilled that the women are at home, but a little concerned about going in with a modified line-up.

It was so close, and so thrilling. It just didn\'t quite end the way the home crowd wanted.
Florida dominated the doubles play. It was really stunning how much they dominated doubles, and many in the large crowd really knew very little about the college format. But everyone could tell that Stanford was getting blitzed.
Ahn was on crutches, but gave as much support as a player turned fan could provide. The what ifs seem so obvious, but that\'s sports.
In singles play, things were looking good on the stadium courts. Burdette fell behind early in set #1, but produced an amazing comeback. The Florida opponent at #2 was just like a wall, everything bounced back and it was impressive. The other two matches were impossibly close, but always there for Stanford to take.
All six singles matches were close and in almost every case the match was in doubt until the final play. Only McVeigh at #6 was clearly done early in set #3.
In the end, the women that could play worked so hard. The crowd did a lot to try to will Burdette through, but ultimately Florida won that third set tiebreaker to win it all.
I would guess it made for good TV on the ESPN family of channels.
