This was a fun game to watch, great pitching by both teams. Â I was quite puzzled about why Marquess pulled Jordan Pries so abruptly in the 8th. Â His pitch count wasn\'t that high and to me he looked like he was still pitching very well. Â Anyone have some insight into that?

Given the nature of the regional with many games in little time, Pries may be needed again soon...perhaps that\'s why. Â Then again, Marquess may have noticed something.

But he could be used as a closer in a very short inning situation...it preserves options.
