A pain oh Stanfords side is moving on. I wish him well. Seems like a good young man.

On the pain in the side - absolutely.
Turns out the two best games in Darnold's career were both against Stanford.
That's by both the NCAA PER and by the mysterious ESPN QBR.
Glad to see him go.

Me too. Now, does Cleveland draft another QB? If so, is it Mayfield, Rosen, or Darnold? :) I bet Darnold figures he has a pretty good chance to avoid Cleveland.

Personally I think Rosen is by far the most ready. Maybe the most ready since Luck. Darnold has only 2 years under his belt. Mayfield should not be in the discussion. He reminds me of Johnny no longer in Football. .

Another one I'm glad to see go is Luke Falk. He has also been a pain in our (pick your favorite part of the human body).

I'm imagining a Draft Combine reenactment of this classic scene from Sgt. Bilko where the Rosen One and Syndrome try to underperform the other to avoid the Browns.

Wazzou has been a pain in the favourite body part, Falk contributed but the biggest part of that pain has been while the WSU defense was on the field.

Seattle Times seems to think that Alex Grinch, the WSU DC, will be leaving for Ohio State next week. Teams can officially add a 10th assistant coach on Tuesday.Â

Well, I think that's debatable. Falk led Wazzu on a fourth quarter drive in 2015 that would have won the game if the kicker hadn't "Couged" it. He also led an offense that put up 42 in 2016 and threw three TD passes (including the go ahead in the 4th quarter) to win in 2017.

Notre Dame defensive coordinator Mike Elko heads to TAMU.
http://irish.nbcsports.com/2018/01/04/notre-dame-defensive-coordinator-mike-elko-heading-to-texas-am/
Quote:Elko came to the Irish after three seasons at Wake Forest. His one season with Notre Dame can be considered only a success. The Irish held opponents to 21.5 points and 369.2 yards per game, forced 20 turnovers and recorded 24 sacks. A year ago, opponents managed 27.8 points and 378.8 yards per game while offering up only 14 turnovers and getting sacked 14 times.

With ESB as well as their DC Elko leaving, feels like people are fleeing something in South Bend. Or do I just
want to believe that?Â
