MBB: UCLA at Stanford - JJJ - 01-04-2018

For anyone who needs a heads-up. Let's hope we do better from the FT line today.

Quote:Stanford continues its stretch of eight consecutive games in the state of California as the Cardinal hosts UCLA Thursday at 7 p.m. at Maples Pavilion. Stanford enters the week 6-8 overall and 0-1 in the Pac-12 after dropping a 77-74 decision to California at Maples Pavilion this past Saturday. The Bruins come to The Farm 11-3 overall and 2-0 in the conference after posting a sweep of the Washington schools this past weekend.

It's the fifth consecutive season Stanford has opened the Pac-12 slate at home and the fourth straight year the Cardinal has opened the conference portion of its schedule with consecutive home games.

Quote:UCLA has won four of the last six between the two schools overall, but the Cardinal has won two of the last three games played on The Farm.

Re: MBB: UCLA at Stanford - JJJ - 01-04-2018

Going with the alternate (?) home unis (gray with block "S" + tree instead of school name).

starters:
Davis
Pickens
Travis
Okpala
Humphrey

Re: MBB: UCLA at Stanford - PalmTree - 01-04-2018

...I'll switch over presently...I'm just watching to see how #4(WTF?!?!?) ASU fares against the Buffs. ASSU's currently down 88-81 with 24 secs to go in OT

Re: MBB: UCLA at Stanford - JJJ - 01-04-2018

25-25 with about 5 minutes to go in 1H. Both teams missing threes.
Travis accounted for 14 of 25 points so far.

Re: MBB: UCLA at Stanford - PalmTree - 01-04-2018

Buffs win 90-81.

Question;  what's UCLA's record since the (Great Fall of) China trip, anyway?

Re: MBB: UCLA at Stanford - JJJ - 01-04-2018

30-30 with 3 minutes to go.
Pickens started 0 for 6 in treys, but made his last 2 in a row.

Re: MBB: UCLA at Stanford - SamuelMcF - 01-04-2018

Every time I watch we do worse.

Sorry guys, I'll stop.

Re: MBB: UCLA at Stanford - JJJ - 01-04-2018

41-36 bad guys up at the half.
Okpala looks so smooth shooting jumpers, but at the FT line, it's the exact opposite, missing 2 shots to waste a chance to pull within 3.

Not bad for student government nerds!

Re: MBB: UCLA at Stanford - SamuelMcF - 01-04-2018

OVERTIME! We came back from down 10! Currently 87-87 with 4ish mins to play.

Re: MBB: UCLA at Stanford - PalmTree - 01-04-2018

love Davis, but he really needs to work on FTs...

Re: MBB: UCLA at Stanford - SamuelMcF - 01-04-2018

DOUBLE OVERTIME! WE LED BY 3 AND THEN NOBODY GUARDED THE ONLY UCLA GUY MAKING PLAYS!!!

Re: MBB: UCLA at Stanford - JJJ - 01-04-2018

THIS IS CRAZY. 99-98, 2 mins-ish to go. Pressure free throws = not happening.

...Dammit SMF - I <thought> you stopped watching.  ;-)

Either way - we're still in this!

Re: MBB: UCLA at Stanford - JJJ - 01-04-2018

With 5 seconds left, perhaps we should've fouled them so they could only score 2, like Jasobsen was saying?

Re: MBB: UCLA at Stanford - PalmTree - 01-04-2018

....Bruins looking.....<worried!>....

Re: MBB: UCLA at Stanford - PalmTree - 01-04-2018

....& now, they look......<BEATEN!>

ALL RIGHT NOW!!!!!!

Re: MBB: UCLA at Stanford - JJJ - 01-04-2018

107-99 in 2OT!!!
ALL RIGHT NOW indeed!

Re: MBB: UCLA at Stanford - Ratmandoo - 01-04-2018

Now that was fun to watch.

Davis, Okpala and da Silva could be pretty good going forward.
