Re: 2018 S&P+ projections - Papa John - 02-09-2018

Also relevant, because they are on our schedule:
SDSU #55
C.al #65
OSU #110

I still hate the fact that we are playing UC Davis again, but I suppose that's because we had a cancellation with #129 (out of 130) SJSU?

Re: 2018 S&P+ projections - phxfan - 02-11-2018

I've always embarrassed for the program when we play Davis and USC and ND NEVER play fcs teams.  I don't know why we do it. Even worse that we are following up two years of Rice with Davis.  If we continue to play USC early we need a legitimate tune up.

FWIW, how did we end up avoiding Scott Frost when we played UCF?  It wasn't intentional but how lucky was Stanford to avoid his teams.

I agree. I thought the 2010 and 2014 games featuring FCS opponents resulted from SJSU bailing first for a big payout and then on the serires. There's FCS on future schedules though.

It's SDSU we play before U$C this year. Do you not consider them a legitimate tune up?

Don't we have a couple of tough battles with the Tribe of William and Mary scheduled? Sheesh.

Re: 2018 S&P+ projections - JohnR34231 - 02-11-2018

Given the fact that SEC/ACC teams routinely schedule 2-3 body bag games a year, I really don't have a problem with us scheduling one.

For example Alabama's schedule next year includes such national powerhouses as Arkansas State, Louisiana-Lafayette, and The Citadel.
