M Tennis at the Indoor National tournament - Spiny_Norman - 02-16-2018
While the Stanford women seem to be at the start of their season, the Stanford men are rolling. They just defeated their 5th consecutive ranked opponent, downing #12 Baylor 4-2 at the National Indoor tournament. Stanford took the doubles point when Timothy Sah and David Wilczynski won 6 straight points to come back and win a tiebreaker 8-6. Then in singles with Stanford up 3-2 after straight set wins at #1 and #2, Eric Fomba (whom I think is a graduate transfer from Paris) came back from getting blitzed in the first set 6-2 to win the next 2 to clinch the match.
Stanford advances to play #4 Georgia tomorrow in the quarterfinals. Coach Goldstein is doing a phenomenal job.

#5 Stanford beat #4 Georgia today 4-2 to advance to the semis of the ITA National tournament. Stanford again took the doubles point and got singles wins from Fawcett, Geller and Genensen at 1, 2 and 6 singles.
Stanford gets the winner of #1 Wake Forest vs. #8 U.SC.
