They lost to Hawaii and Texas Tech, got bounced out of the tournament.

The women\'s tennis team, however, defeated Baylor, and keeps playing.

The loss of Gerhart was impossible to overcome.   A sad end to the season.  I was hoping to Ernie Banks it today, watching 2 games.

She didn\'t pitch in a game since the UofA series in April.  Most stories presented the injury as arm related.  Now, this is NCAA softball so injury coverage is not exactly at the level of the NFL.

The quotes imply there was some concern that pushing the pitch count could impact her ability in the future.

With a healthy Gerhart this team might have been good enough to contend for a WCWS trip.

Pitched 2 innings since then, pastor.   Not sure pitching related or hitting related.   Or neither.   What quotes are you referring to?  

In any case we have landed a 2nd pitcher, daughter of the Oregon Coach and one of the best in America, for Teagen\'s Jr year.

Saw Teagan, and Toby, at the Stanford baseball game Tuesday night.  She had her arm in a sling....

The reports I read had her pinch running in two games, but not pitching.  The quotes were from Stanford Daily and another small local paper.  How many people really cover the Softball press conferences?  

It is certainly possible that the team tested the arm once or twice along the way after those reports, but it seemed clear in early May that they wanted to let her rest the arm for a while to avoid a longer term issues.

Well seeing would be believing, over the Daily.   LOL

I looked hard for a sling Friday, as she was holding her arm like in a sling, not using it at all.   Guess we won\'t really know until fall games in October.
