He'll probably be a DE edge rusher in the Bills' 4-3 defense.

The Yeti will thrive playing in the snow.

The Yeti grew up in Arizona but has had ample time to acclimate to the snow in Washington D.C.  ;D

Super happy about this signing as a Bills fan.  Assuming he is fully recovered, I think he can turn into a double-digit sack guy.

With the Bills' QB situation as bad as it looks right now, that defense will see plenty of time on the field.  Tyrod Taylor is with the Browns now.  And while Kizer is gone, Hogan and Kessler remain with the Browns.  ESPN showed Hogan ahead of Kessler on the depth chart as of today, so if Taylor suffers another injury, #8 will see some time again.

...You do realize that the Browns are virtually guaranteed to draft a QB very high, right?

Yeah, how's that worked out for them in the past?

Does it matter? Hogan would still almost certainly be behind that player on a depth chart.

Re: Trent Murphy signs with Bills: 3-yrs, $21mil - fullmetal - 03-15-2018

Obviously.  But the Browns have a habit of running all their QB through live snaps during the regular season for various reasons -- underperformance, injury, etc.

Some pundits think that the Browns will draft a QB and sit him out for a season to get him up to speed.  Taylor has a concussion injury history, so I don't think it's a lock that he'll start every game, esp with that Browns OL.  That means Hogan and Kessler will get some snaps if the Browns sit their draft pick QB.  Even if not, it's not super likely that a drafted rookie QB will light things up with a team like the Browns.  (Now everyone says the Browns will draft Chubb -- will a Browns QB ever have a decent RB to share the load?)

Annnnyway.  TMurph and the Bills' defense will see ample time on the field.  I know the Bills have draft picks a-plenty and that they'll pick a QB (12th and 22nd in the 1st rd alone), but a rookie Bills QB is unlikely to carry the team if Lesean McCoy gets injured again.

As a former upstate new yorker dwelling in D.C., the latter is scarcely preparation for the former. Though climate change has dulled winter’s edge a lot up there.

Fair point.  I've heard of this Buffalo lake effect thundersnow in recent years, and the photos are impressive.
