Re: MBB News. - Hurlburt88 - 04-02-2018

I thought  Robbie could have added some depth, so sorry to see him go.    Hope (expect) he got a great experience overall!

Re: MBB News. - BobK - 04-02-2018

Better depth than Jordan Brown?  I don’t think so.    Of course we can only hope about Brown.

Re: MBB News. - burger - 04-02-2018

I'm going to optimistically interpret the lack of news about Reid Travis as meaning he's coming back.  (If I'm wrong, don't tell me. I want to spend this offseason dreaming of a Tourney appearance next year)

I really appreciate his contributions, and I hope he had a great Stanford experience. However, I can't help thinking that it's good news for the program that we are over-recruiting some guys.

Jordan Brown would be like a dream come true.  He had 26 points and 8 boards in the McD AA game.  No insider information here, but 3 crystal ball predictions came in for Stanford on 3/28 on 247Sports.  Article came out saying Arizona and Stanford were coming on strong in his recruitment.  Jordan Brown and Cormac Ryan would be very nice replacements for Humphrey and Pickens.

Minneapolis is the site of next year's final four...could be incentive for players from that area...just sayin'

Re: MBB News. - 82lsju - 04-03-2018

Cartwright will grad transfer for his final year of eligibility, while Walker will remain at Stanford but will not play due to NCAA medical disqualification.

Re: MBB News. - burger - 04-03-2018

There's a good article about Jordan Brown here for those unfamiliar with him: http://www.sacbee.com/sports/spt-columns-blogs/ailene-voisin/article206931084.html

If we land him, he would be the first-ever (presumably) one-and-done player to come to Stanford.  That doesn't give me a lot of confidence, though Haase seems to be a good recruiter so far, and he would be close to home.  So, fingers crossed.

Re: MBB News. - BobK - 04-03-2018

What is a medical disqualification?  That’s is astupid term.  He can’t physically play anymore he wasn’t disqualified
Cartwright averaged 4.7 ppg

Thank you Robert for giving your all after your serious and permanent nerve damage injury.

NBA says that the last day for underclassmen to declare is April 22.

Re: MBB News. - Phogge - 04-03-2018

As far as the tourney goes Stanford is quite a few players away athletically than most of the teams I watched.

Re: MBB News. - PVTree - 04-03-2018

Enticing to think of a lineup consisting of:

Brown, Travis, DaSilva, Okpala, and Davis. Sharma, Cormac, and Sheffield off the bench. White, Pugh, and Stanback adding depth. The other 2 frosh redshirting.

Re: MBB News. - martyup - 04-04-2018

Jordan Brown will not  commit to Stanford.  Mark my words. Throw it back in my face encapsulated in banana cream pie if I'm  wrong.

Amen to that. I wouldn't have flinched at all if he'd taken a medical retirement after that gruesome injury, I'm glad he's graduating, and I hope he joins a program next year where he can get time on the floor. Unfortunately I think the writing was on the wall that Cartwright wasn't going to see much if any playing time next season. I wish him nothing but success both on and off the floor, and I congratulate him on his 40-year decision

Re: MBB News. - ColoradoTree - 04-06-2018

He might still come back, but Reid Travis is at least testing the waters....
