McCaffrey saves a hiker... and then some - BostonCard - 05-03-2018

I think I posted the original story back when it happened a couple months ago.  Well, the story has a happy ending:

The 72-year-old hiker who fell was released from the hospital recently.  And then McCaffrey sent him and his grandson autographed Panther jerseys and a note:

Quote:Dear Smoker family —

We are so happy to hear the good news about Dan Sr. leaving the hospital in good health. We would like to invite you into the Carolina Panthers family by attending a home game this upcoming  season on behalf of Christian McCaffrey and Academy Sports. Can’t wait to see you in the black and blue.
