27 up, 27 down, all strikes. 81 of them. Name the MLB pitcher.

I'm guessing Koufax.

close with 27 strikeouts in a nine inning game, but not 27 up, 27 down and more than 81 pitches, would be Ron Necciai in a minor league game, he had a short career in MLB

Since the major league record for strikeouts in a 9-inning game is 20 (Roger Clemens and Kerry Wood; Tom Chaney had 21 in a 16! inning game), this had to have been a minor league game.
Who has the record for most consecutive strikeouts?
BC

Hint 2: think Albert Brooks.

Why not a major league game. Doesn't say all the outs were strikeouts, just that all the pitches were strikes. Could be a few foul balls in there as well.

Sandy Koufax or Dean Chance. Maybe 11 in a row
Yes as batters
Tom Seaver as a pitcher but I think broken

Good point, but there have been no 81 pitch perfect games. Closest was David Cone's 88 pitch, 10 strikeout perfect game on July 18, 1999.
