Damn. Only OT because he didn't commit to us! It was potentially on topic until today...

Interesting. I suspect that there aren't many people in the world who would choose Nevada over a full ride at Stanford.

Do you guys really think he was in play, considering we had another guy commit over a week ago to fill the last spot?
And that we weren't in his top 3?

Stanford wasn’t an option.

If Travis gets drafted or grad transfers to Puke or Kenf*cky, a spot would/will open back up. Brown always seemed like a long shot, but a Cardinal fan can dream...

I think it was more of a zero shot, and not because he committed to Nevada. Every year we get really excited about a potential top-10 recruit, but the last time it panned out was the Lopez twins.

I wonder how much of this is due to recruits' having to fill out the application. If I'm an 18-year old headed to the NBA in a year or two, I can't imagine I'd want to write essays and all that. Obviously there are exceptions, but these top recruits aren't thinking about the 40 year decision. Or so I suspect, anyway.

Gotta get the under the radar type that can make a terrific mid major program like Butler’s. NBA ready 18 year olds don’t want what Stanford delivers.

Long past time to get rid of the one and done. Let the kids go into the draft straight out of high school, and if they decide to go to college then just like football they can't enter the draft for at least 3 years.
