Encouraging that he has a good relationship with Tavita. But the question is who has NOT offered him at this point. He already has offers from Bama, UGa, Michigan, ND, Oregon, U$C, UCLA, Utah, Wazzu, Zona, ASU, SDSU. Also several Ivy offers so we know he has the grades.

6-2, 195, 4.65 and only his soph year coming up.

Another top-rated lacrosse player. He and Ricky Miezan could practice their cradling, v-cuts, and Gilman clears together.

At first I thought, highlight tape of a very limited freshman season?? How is a guy a prospect after that? Then I watched the tape...

Holy cow! I wonder if this is what Marcus Mariota looked like at this age.

And looking at the Cardboards of other schools, it looks like he’s gotten a lot of people’s attention. A UCLA article mentions they were the first to offer because he played on the same travel lacrosse team as Jim Mora’s son. A Note Dame poster talks about how he is a devout Catholic. My favorite quote (from a domer):
“I came to the conclusion that his tape was tied with Reggie Bush's HS highlight film as my favorite ever but then read he is a Michigan Lacrosse DECOMMIT and he ascended to #1.”

I saw this the other day. Oh, how I would love to see this kid behind center for the Cardinal in, say, 2023. Watching his highlight film, it's hard to keep in mind that you're looking at a ninth grader. Who knows what his development will bring over the next three seasons, but he looks legit.

Just kidding.  I will have to check his progress a little closer now that I've heard of him.  Bishops doesn't play a very big schedule but of course that doesn't mean he isn't talented.

SteveAztec - we used to live near Bishops so am intrigued. Love to hear any reports you come up with on him. Curious how he’s received such nationwide attention when he’s at such a small school.

And I started following Marshall Faulk’s career from the time he was at SDSU. Great player.

I don't know why his race has any bearing on anything.  He plays like a winner to me.

Because I read somewhere that many members here are of Asian descent, and when's the last time you saw someone like that as an elite QB?
It'll be cool when that is so commonplace that it doesn't deserve special mention.

Well, there's the late Ron Fujikawa, who I think has one of the highest career QB ratings ever.  Dude was something like 6 for 6 with 4 TD passes, all against Sannizay IIRC.

QB Hines Ward was Korean.  His Korean mother raised him as a single mom.

LBs Tedy Bruschi was half Filipino, Kailee Wong went to my favorite university (Chinese & Hawaiian), Ben Leber (half-Korean),  

WR Johnnie Morton was half Japanese.

OL Eugene Chung (Korean)

TE Thomas Duarte is 100% of Asian descent.

Dat Nguyen, you may be surprised to know, is of Vietnamese descent.
