Is there any other team in a Power 5 conference that plays half of their home games before school starts?

Really sucks for the college experience of the students. . . .

It's not a scheduling question, it's a scheduling criticism. And I believe this is the second time in the last three seasons.

But some of this is largely out of Stanford's control. Every other year we only have four conference home games. I'd really like to see that first conference game be a) played against a lesser opponent than U$C, and b) played on the road.

But conference scheduling is controlled by the conference, and we know the Pac-12 doesn't give a damn about fans, including students.

and the SC game is probably going to continue to be in early Sept since one of us is playing ND in South Bend ~Oct 1st each year which gobbles up a "traditional" conference game weekend.

only schools on the quarter system, before students arrive this year

- us (three home games)
- Northwestern (two home games and a bye)
- OSU (one home and two road games)
- UCLA (two home and one road game)
- Oregon (three home games)

maybe some others
