Most Grand Slam doubles titles - Mike Bryan - magnus - 09-07-2018

By winning men's doubles at the US open, Mike Bryan has 18 majors titles for doubles. Most by anyone.

Very impressive to still be going strong after such a long career.

David Feherty interviewed Bob Bryan, along with Jack Nicklaus and Rickie Fowler.  Bryan was very well spoken, sounds like he's had a wonderful career.  Mike has two more men's double wins than Bob, his long time partner.  They had a great advantage in that Mike is right-handed and Bob is left-handed.

Bob and Mike have had a legendary career as arguably the best doubles team ever: 16 Grand Slam titles together, including holding all 4 at the same (spanning 2 calendar years) and overall 116 team titles (most ever).

Bob suffered a hip injuiry in the spring and had surgery over the summer. Jack Sock has stepped in nicely as Mike's partner while Bob is recuperating.

I really like Jack Sock.  Not only a good doubles and mixed doubles player (won the Olympic gold medal with Bethanie Mattek-Sands), but a really classy guy.  Type of player who will give back points if the call is mistaken in his favor.

My brother played against Mike in high school.  Lost 6-2, 6-0.  After Mike won his eighteenth grand slam championship I texted him and he wrote back "Yeah didn’t feel good at the time but now I feel better about myself "
