Thanks  for  the link.

Stanford: 25. Bartel (Fr.  100&200Br);  9. Drabot (Jr.  200&500Fr, 200Fl);   5. Ruck (Fr. 100&200Fr, 100Bk);  1. Eastin (Sr.  200&400 IM, 200Fl)
Cal:  29. Darcell; 21. McLaughlin; 16. Weitzel; 13. Bilquist

Looks promising.  The two freshmen bode well for the future.

Ruck was stunning @ PanPacs. I believe she was also 4th in the 50 free, so her quality range is 50-200 for Free & Back.

With her length and speed she can be a difference maker on multiple relays, the kind that can take you from 5th to first in a 4X50 or 4X100 relay. Will provide fantastic high points flexibility for the coaches to tweak relays and individual events around other swimmers' strengths.

Will be a great story to follow how her boffo long course summer translates into the NCAA short course championship season. Arguably, the most impactful incoming freshmen across all womens' sports at Stanford. Do your best to dissuade me BobK!

Hey Bob, thanks for playing along! Well, if Collier could score top 5 @ indoor and outdoor NCAAs in 800, 1500/Mile, and 5K, plus run strong legs on DRM indoors and both sprint relays outdoors, then that might be worth a conversation.

Similarly, a hoops player who came in, averaged triple doubles, and lead the team to a final 4 spot could also likely make an argument. You would know better than most if we have such a player.

If Ledecky stays on campus and trains with the team, as she has stated, that can only help Ruck as well. I can't wait.
