San Jose is one of MLS's perpetually mediocre franchises that got sucked in by a bit of a flim-flam man as their GM. I'd be surprised to see Gunn leave a stable situation for a rickety organization like San Jose.

Yes, but SJ has big, smart and patient money behind it. And 2nd hand word from 5+ people on campus is that JG is not viewed positively by students and some players (along the lines of a meaner bobby knight). If true, in the current era that type of personality tends to move around, and might be a better fit for professionals than students anyway.
