I posted this above, but I'll put it here, as well. One of our members contacted me over the summer offering a plug-in that automatically calculates results of the predictions, which you'd post on the forum, rather than on an outside form. It even has team logos. Would anyone like to test it on the test board?

I’d be happy to be a guinea pig.

Geez, I would be careful being that optimistic. Might offend the woofing gods and all.

It is. Most famous cougar cartoon character I came across.

Rather important home game tomorrow.

Optimistically, 28-27 us. Realistically, 35-17 Cougs. Just do not think Cougs will be cougin' it this year.

I'm on record with your optimistic rendition. One ESPN "expert" (Andrea Adelson) also predicted your optimist's score (though 10 out of 17 ESPN pundits see the Cougs prevailing).

If this 28-27 scenario truly comes to pass, I would like to see it occur with Wazzu scoring a late TD and Leach going for two and failing. Or even better, Stanford scoring a late TD to pull it out (Shaw would never go for two in that same situation).
Unfortunately, I think your other scenario has an even greater likelihood of playing out. That said, when the Dawgs visited us last year on the Farm, I expected us to lose; and we didn't. Go Optimism!

Yeah, I'll have to admit although I wouldn't be shocked if we won, I would be a bit pleasantly surprised. I do expect it to be a close game, and don't think the Cougs are going to hang a 2-3 TD loss on us.
We'll see what happens.

I think we can win this game. A few things have to happen in order and for this to transpire.
1. We need to tackle well.
2. Our passing game needs to operate at a B+ level or above. I’m assuming our running game continues to be mediocre at best, although having Herbig back in the lineup should help, and I saw some flashes vs ASU in the third quarter.
3. Special teams need to continue to operate at a high level.
I think #3 will happen, #2 is likely (Costello has the #2 PER in the PAC 12 behind Oregon’s Herbert and ahead of WSU’s Minshew), and that we have a better than even chance with #1. Accordingly, I think we win 30-27.

I'll add a #4 to your list:
4. One or two key take-aways from the Cougs (with no turnovers ourselves).

0 for 4.
I see a lot of "Gamed", half-hearted entries seeking to duck the 10pt penalty by picking perplexed Cardinal by 1 or 2.
Sadly, for the first time I am abandoning caution to the wind: COUGS 31, CARDS 17. Love ain't at full strength.
I think Minshew comes in Smoking Hot with the most prolific passing attack in America.
Our pass rush won't be enough to slow them down, and our Safeties are atrocious.
Adebo and Holder are solid; Adebo is a first team Pac12 STUD. But, Minshew has 4 targets on every play.
By the 4th quarter our DLine tongues will be dragging. LB Alfieri is OUT; We don't beat Oregon without him.
Wazzu gets the Huskies in Pullman for Apples this year, and after throttling the Ducks the Cougs are smeling Roses.
Mark this game:
This is the Waterloo for the "Shaw Run First" philosophy.
After limping out of ASU last week, Shaw's neck was even stiffer. Until he fails, he will Run First.
I think we end up 8-4, and we need to bring in Troy Walters as OffCo from NEBR for some new juice in the Playbook.
I hope I am wrong, and we get two pick-6s or a 90yd Scoop-and-Score. We may need them.

Shaw will never relinquish the play calling. Walters has about a quarter of the talent he had in Florida.
“Party in the backfield” isn’t owned by Stanford anymore.

Whoa, I came in first? That should've been when I hung up my cleats, but I already entered a UW prediction...
And I picked us to win (as always).
