NEW COACH, SAME LUCK. Says Andrew is "coaching" the other quarterbacks on the team.
But, but....I thought - Redrum - 07-09-2011
We didn't have any other QBs on the team. Well, OK, 1.5 other guys. Nunes played most of the first half in Spring game, so there's one. Dallas Lloyd is supposed to be really good if he ever gets back from his LDS mission. So there's a half.Â

I hope he stays. This guy, who wears No 12, is amazing! He definitely fits Stanford's new tough guy image. He's got great elusiveness, can find the man when he rolls right out of the pocket, and has great elusiveness. The only possible downside I can see is that he seems to throw high and may have been bailed out by a tall receiver, No 81.

Dallas Lloyd - Redrum - 07-10-2011
FWLIW, IÂ
thinkthat every LDS male who reaches adulthood and is in good standing w/ the church is considered an "elder".
Pretty sure accepting a Stanford football scholarship isn't considered as bad as drinking coffee, alcohol or engaging in premarital sex...so maybe that won't work against us. What I HOPE is that w/ Taysom Hill now the BYU QB of the future (and with a 1 yr. head start) that Lloyd will not want to risk being a backup QB at BYU. But, maybe he's fearless and ain't afraid of competition. With a good season, I think we are in good shape getting Lloyd on campus.
The Lloyd video is interesting. The most notable thing is how often it seemed he
had to run and improvise as the OL got beat. But that might be an artifact of the video editor's preference for spectacular scrambles. All in all, Lloyd looks like the real deal. He is not only able to run, he could really move. Regardless of video editor's choices, the running ability is there. I wonder if he's one of those QBs who actually likes to run or, not as comforting, has a predilection to run. I'll try to find some of Josh Nunes' video and see if there is something we can learn by comparison.
