Davis Cup - fullmetal - 07-10-2011
For those of you not in the tennis know, the USA/Spain Davis Cup match is taking place in Austin, TX. I didn't get tickets, but the Bryan twins punched their way to a doubles victory over the Spanish pair of Granollers/Velasco, with Granollers subbing for Lopez (I don't even know why the sub happened--that's how out of touch I am). Unfortunately, the big picture still shows the US in a 1-2 deficit against Spain, with Spain only needing to win at one more spot to clinch a semifinal berth.
With all the hubbub surrounding the US women's soccer team's epic victory over Brazil (and the US rowing national teams' women's eight gold medal at the World Cup in Lucerne today), a little transitive karma would be really great :)
