CBS Bowl nods now have us in Sun Bowl vs Duke, Dec. 31 -- an Academic College Bowl Challenge.
MONDAY -- [Noon kickoff MT, so 2pm ET, 11am brunch PT]
They assume WAST beats WASH, and tops UTAH to win Pac12 title.
ROSE, Jan. 1: WAST vs OHST or MICH (Cougs >Utes)
ALAMO, Dec 28: UTAH vs TEX -- Home game for Horns.
HOLIDAY, Dec. 31: WASH vs NORW; Fans want sun.
SUN, Dec. 31: STAN vs DUKE -- Mighty Nerd Bowl
RedBox/SF, Dec. 26: OREG vs IOWA (parka schools)
Cheez-it CACTUS, Dec. 26: U$C vs OKST (shoot out)
VEGAS, Dec. 15: AZST vs BOIS -- decent regional matchup
INDEPENDENCE?, Dec. 27: CAL vs MIAM (Any bowl will do)
COUCH: ORST, UCLA, ZONA
If we get the RedBox Bowl, Boycott it. The Dorms are closed (LOCKED!), everyone is GONE.

I think that is probably right. There's a chance we make the Holiday bowl if Utah stumbles against Colorado and/or BYU, but the best bet is that we are the fourth picked Pac-12 team. Of course there is some downside risk for us, as we have to take care of business against Cal and UCLA.
Note: ASU probably has the biggest chance to move up, since it has games against Oregon and Arizona, and if it wins both, will go to the Pac-12 championship, and Arizona has two shots to win one game and go bowling. But it will have to beat one of WSU and ASU.

Another possibility is that WASH beats WAST. In that case, maybe both go to NY6 bowls because WAST would only have 2 losses, and the Committee probably prefers to give two NY6 bowls as a consolation prize to the Power 5 conferences that are left out of the Playoff. And we might have a chance at the Holiday Bowl because the South Champ would probably move up to the Alamo?

I’d love the Holiday Bowl if that somehow works out.
After that, I’d enjoy going to the Redbox Bowl.
From what I’ve seen, the Bowl Games have relatively few current Stanford students, I suspect in part due to the scheduling, and in part because the tickets cost a lot more.
But many alums, fans, and season ticket holders live in the Bay Area, so that’d make tbe Redbox Bowl convenient. It’d also reduce flying time for the team. A rematch of the 2015 Season Rose Bowl against Iowa wouldn’t be the most compelling pairing, though.
My ticket order will probably list the Redbox and Holiday Bowls, and possibly the Las Vegas Bowl.
In theory, I wish the Hawaii/Aloha Bowl were part of the Pac 12’s lineup (was it 1991?). I would love to go someplace warm enough to swim outdoors in December, though the pre-Christmas timing probably wouldn’t would be tough, anyway.
