Just want to point out how awesome it would be if Texas beat Oklahoma today.

It would create a situation where playing a - completely unnecessary - conference championship game costs the Big 12 a spot in the playoff.  These games are nothing more than glorified bowl games, forcing players to risk injury in a non-playoff system.

And...

A Texas win would also point out the lunacy of selecting teams to play in the playoff based on how they played at the beginning of a season.  Only a playoff that allows a 9-3 team to potentially make a run, after beating the #4 team can be taken seriously.
