Stanford was tied with UCSD after the first period but pulled away from the Tritons 16-7.
In the other semifinal, USC scored with 5 seconds remaining to defeat UCLA 8-7.
Stanford vs. USC for the NC tomorrow at 3 pm. Video streaming available from ncaa.com. Or be there in person to cheer for the Cardinal!

Bob, I was there yesterday and I'll be there today.
If the weather is like yesterday (55-58F), dress a little warmer than you think. There was a good breeze in the stands.
The stands were nearly full yesterday (along the playing area), even up against the Big Game. I suggest arriving early.
USC had a large, noisy crowd, with some of their band. I hope LSJUMB can be there (shortest walk ever from their building!).
For those who haven't been there before: The Stanford side is traditionally the shady side (far side from the entrance). FYI, IMO, don't sit in the first row as it should be reserved as an aisle (but strangely isn't). The first two rows or so won't be able to see the race for the ball at the start of the quarters because of the tent over the officials. Arrive early so you don't have to go all the way to the top and back down to get to a seat.

Already down 5-0 in the first quarter. How do you come out so flat with a national title on the line???

You don't often see a game end in the first quarter, but Stanford is down 5-0 and they look atrocious. They can't even setup their offense, the few times they've had shots close they've put it right on the goalie. Our defense is giving them easy looks, and our goalie has been awful. It's a shame USC is even in the tournament, they shouldn't have made it over Cal, but oh well...
