Before I go out and chase some elk the other lefty was Skip Face. And the QB was Terry DeSylvia.
Stanford scored two TD’s and a FG against the Kapp team that went to the RB. Cal scored two TD’s only but won. What happened?

Nick Testa. 30 years old, only appearance in the big leagues. Didn't get an at-bat, made an error in his only chance. Later that season, named the bullpen coach for the Giants. When he retired, he became the Yankees' batting practice coach, and was there for five of the Yankees' World Championships. Played in Japan his last professional year.

Nick entered the game as a pinch runner then played his last inning as the catcher

On the first of Stanford's TD's the extra point was missed. Stanford failed on a two pointer after the next TD. Face kicked a FG as Stanford finished with 15 points. Cal scored two pointers after both of their TD's and won 16-15. They went on to be demolished by Iowa in the Rose Bowl, their last all time appearance. Ergo no more, ever.
incidentally 1958 was the first year of the two pointers and it bit Stanford in the keister. Still playing one platoon football.
