Wow. this is pretty devastating to the ILB corps. Pryts & Beecher look like the only ones who have any game experience.

I'm not exactly demoralized by this news. Barton was OK, but hardly a real difference maker. I'm just as happy to give some other guys a shot who might have more upside than to get Barton back.
To me the biggest question is will there be an OLB moved to ILB? The guy I would look at is Jordan Fox.

Barton played thru a number of injuries. Let’s give him credit for that please

Bob, some slacking off is certainly understandable, but I expect you'll be at the women's matches vs. Vanderbilt on Feb 23 and vs. Texas on March 2 (both at noon). Should be terrific tennis, and it's free!

Didn't realize Barton was 25. Holy cow, yeah. Best wishes. He may not have been a great ILB but he was very very solid. The bigger problem is the hole left behind with his departure. There's just not a lot of there there.

Bummer but I'm less worries about safety than ILB due to depth & also Coach Akina. In addition, I didn't think that highly of Buncom. He was beaten at least a few times this season for brobdingnagian rushing gains.
Really happy that Justin Reid is committed to earning his degree. He said it will probably take him 3-4 years to complete it.
