MVB loss to #6 Pepperdine - Mick - 03-16-2019

Pepperdine beat Stanford, 27-29, 19-25 and 19-25 yesterday.  Pepperdine put up a big block, leading 11-2 in blocks.  They hit (no misprint), .489 against our .236.  Needless to say, they had just four hitting errors, we had 20.  Things don't get any easier with #4 UCLA tonight.

One of the Cardinal's best matches of the year, before 1,333 spectators on Senior night.  Every set was hard fought.  Stanford outhit #4 UCLA by .430 to .274, UCLA had the edge in aces 7-3.  Stanford held the edge in digs, 34-26.

Seniors honored were Kyle Dagostino (eight digs, eight assists), Jordan Ewert (23 kills, one ace), Russell Dervay and Chris Moore.
