I was a bit confused by Shaw's answer to your question about Shayne Skov. He said, "The thing with Shayne, is trying to make sure Shayne understands the story of Andrew Luck, coming back for that fourth year."

Was Shaw saying that he doesn't think Skov will be ready to turn pro after this season? I'm not sure how else to read the comment. Kind of surprising to me that he would say that before the season. Or maybe he meant something else, and I'm not getting it.

I've heard him say this exact thing before about Skov, and what he means is that Skov is so good that he might choose to head for the NFL after this season. From actually sitting next to him, I can assure you that he's saying this kind of tongue-in-cheek. He's not worried that Skov won't be ready for the NFL, he's just hoping that he sticks around for another year at Stanford.
