Funny, USC looks mortal when they are not playing us. USC/BYU is going to overtime.

Yes, amazing how we can make teams look immortal. :={

Glad to know we aren’t the only ones to blow time outs when the play clocks run down. USC barely gets the TO in.

And Sloven looks like a freshman in throwing an interception to end the game against BYU in OT.

A small silver lining: USC goes down! Honestly, I couldn't give a crap about conference pride at this point. I'm just glad to see USC suffer.

Agree, USC can go to hell.
Tough to see anything on the replay.
BC
Well, that was a brief stay in the top-25 for USC.
I’m in full schadenfreude mode. The only joy in Mudville is when Mudville’s rivals lose.

Arizona State may somehow pull out a game on the road against Michigan State. ASU 9, MSU 7.

MSU just tied it at 10 with 6 seconds left.

12 men on the field. Hahaha.
ASU wins. Unbelievable.

You cannot make this stuff up. Officials missed a 15-yard leaping penalty on ASU on the second kick. MSU should have been
able to re-kick (for a third time) from 32 yards out. I guess the Pac-12 is so down, we got to take it.

Those were PAC-12 zebras blowing that call. Is leaping not reviewable?
RE: Other games -
Spiny_Norman - 09-15-2019
On the penultimate play, the officials dropped a flag, then picked it up with the head referee announcing to the crowd, "There is no penalty for 12 men on the field." Then a few seconds later, he said, "The previous play is under review." The penalty was called by the replay officials. The officials on the field looked very incompetent.
The Pac 12 had previously disciplined the head referee and his crew for blowing a call.

No, leaping penalties are not reviewable, and I think MSU has a legit gripe. Even more so because in 2016, they were called for a leaping penalty that allowed Indiana to rekick a field goal after missing it.

My thoughts exactly: after we were hammered by USC, I thought the Trojans under Slovis would emerge as a 2019 juggernaut. Looks more like an 8-4 program at best.

USC hosts Utah this Friday night. I haven't thought it possible for Utah to defeat anyone with a decent offense because the Utes don't have any outside threats. But the reality is BYU who seemingly has less offense than Utah, in fact beat USC. Now it was a road game for USC, and this week will be at home for the scandalous cheaters, but I can't imagine Utah beating USC in L.A. this week. If they do, I will be even more alarmed at Shaw's performance degradation.

That same Utah team beat BYU on the road by 18. They are absolutely loaded with seniors (4 or so guys with legitimate NFL prospects came back), their front 7 is probably strongest in the conference, and they are the clear team to beat in the Pac-12 South.
I don't think Utah - who will be favored - beating USC tells us much beyond the fact that Utah is good, which we already know.

SC vs Utah. Tonight Slovis got hurt on the second play of the game. The 3rd string QB, Matt Fink for SC came in is 16/22, 292 yds, 13.3 ave, and 3 TDs. SC leads 21 - 10 in the 3rd Q.

Are you implying we should be looking to our third string QB to light a fire?

We should be looking for anyone to light a fire.
SC is getting hurt by penalties. Their thugs are getting caught thugging.

I think tonight's game shows that: 1) Graham Harrell is a very good OC to have this much success with 3 different QB's.
2) At least at home, SC is a very tough team to beat. Yes, we had a bad night, but perhaps beating the Trojans in the Coliseum was easier said than done.
3) Maybe SC's WR are just that fast, and our DB's aren't that slow. Utah has a fantastic defense (arguably the best in the conference), and SC's receivers are making them look very slow.
