And it's already down to -9.5 somehow. Does the betting public have more faith in Stanford than its fans?
I'm guessing the market sees Oregon as a different team on the road than at home, and ditto Stanford.

Ok, i’ll Be bold and say it’s worth taking Stanford and the points. We are playing at home, where we’ve had more of a home/road split than in the past. And I think it’s a big game for Oregon, which means they may find a way to blow it.
They still have too much firepower, and their online plus Herbert is formidable. I wouldn’t take Stanford straight up, but I think we can keep it to a touchdown or less.

I'll take Oregon. I have lost faith in our defense against fast teams.

I hate to say it, but I think we are gonna get stomped. Our D is a dumpster fire. No duck tears this time. I now see this as a reset season. Please Mr. Shaw, reset.

Stanford has played much better at home than on the road the last few seasons. I don't foresee a blowout, though a Stanford victory looks to be a tall order.
Good news - Stanford plays 4 of the next 5 at home. Only one road trip between now and November 9 and that is to Corvallis. A good opportunity to at least stabilize a foundering ship.

Here's hoping the Ducks shoot themselves in the foot again.

The line moving in Stanford's favor is a bit surprising to me, but maybe they feel the combination of Stanford being at home and Oregon on the road means that line was a bit too aggressive. I've also heard of betters intentionally betting against their choice early to move the line, only to place a much larger bet the other way, no idea if this is an example of that, but who knows. I think over the past years with Shaw, there have been a few seasons where all seemed lost early on, only for Stanford to go on a nice run and finish the year at 9+ wins somehow. That being said, this is probably the lowest confidence I've had in a Stanford team in a while. I hope Shaw proves my doubts wrong again.

Yeah, Corvallis was such a cakewalk the last time we visited. . . .

Maybe Shaw will find a way to get Keller Chryst some more eligibility...he really seemed determined to play him when we were last up there.

It will seem like a cake walk compared to Pullman which will be a zoo.

Orlando appeared to be quite the zoo--the Bounce House they call it. Amazingly, we took the crowd out of it by halftime. The place appeared dead in the second half, with the students headed for the exits by the middle of the fourth quarter.

Sex, drugs and rock and roll will make you leave a Stadium early. Just like Dodger fans.
