I never rooted for the P8 or the P10, either. I root for Stanford. I don't give a **** about those other schools' teams. And I know that conference losses diminish Stanford's wins over its conference foes. For some people. But Not Me. I still don't care. I want Stanford to win. Period. If Stanford wins its games, goes 13-0, it's very likely going to end up the playoff. No matter how crappy the football is the P12. And, with a weak conference schedule, it would make winning-out all the sweeter and stick it to the motormouth suits-with-talking-heads. Don't tell me to "root for the conference". I don't care about it. Never have.

I agree, except for the Cougs and The Pirate. Entertaining and winning with a far less inviting campus and history than Stanford.

well, I like it when other Pac-12 teams are doing well and ranked highly until we beat 'em. More satisfying that way.

I may not root FOR Pac-12 teams but that doesn't mean I don't care about their wins and losses. There are some teams I loathe with a passionate hatred previously unknown to mankind.
For instance, USC can lose every game until the world shrinks into a cold, dead cinder and is engulfed into the expanding Supernova of our dying sun yet if USC wins on that last day of our world's existence I would still consider it one day too soon.
Other than THAT I wish them well.
