Georgia-SC - lex24 - 10-12-2019

17-17. SC has 4th and 3 on Georgia 40. About a minute left. Georgia two time outs. Muschamp elects to try a 57 yard FG. Not close. Three choices. He picked the worst one. Georgia close to FG range but commits penalty. Could have tried 55 yard FG with 8 seconds. Didn’t.  Penalty took him out of range. OT.

The moral is Georgia go for the win when you can. Or you lose and down goes Georgia

And in the 2nd OT, Rod Blankenship, who is normally a bank, missed the tying FG.  South Carolina wins 20-17 in 2OT.  A lot of back and forth in this game.  South Carolina had a chip shot FG to win in the 1st OT and missed.

And Ryan Hilinski was great in the game until forced out with injury. I think that was SC's 3rd string QB from when the season started that hung on for the win in Athens.

That loss does not help Notre Dame.
